Silicon diode rectifier bridge

Two diode rectifier pairs are connected in series and are controlled by two Diodes:
D1: Semiconductor diode, negative polarity.
D2: Semiconductor diode, positive polarity.

The diode bridge is designed as a bi-directional switching converter.
